About
Andrés was born in Rosario in 1980, he studied Film Direction at the Universidad del Cine (FUC). His first experience was editing a short film that he himself had shot in his first year as a film student.
Since 2008, he has been exclusively dedicated to editing films, series and commercials.
It has more than 10 edited feature films that have been featured in various festivals, some of which are: Historia del miedo (Benjamín Naishtat, 2014) Official Competition at the Berlin Festival, nomination for a Silver Condor for Best First Film, Grand Prix International Film Festival JeonJu (Republic of Korea). El movimiento (Naishtat, 2016) winner of Best Argentine Feature Film at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival and Cineastas del Presente Award at the Locarno International Film Festival. Las Vegas (Juan Villegas 2019) film BAFICI opening ceremony and selected at the Cannes International Film Festival.
In 2018 he was the editor of the multi-award-winning film Rojo (Naishtat), winner of the San Sebastián International Film Festival for best direction, best actor and best photography. It earned him a nomination for best editor at the Cóndor de Plata awards and was finally awarded the South Award (Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Argentina) for best editing.
Since 2021 he has been working on series for Amazon, Star+ and HBO under the direction of filmmakers such as Ariel Winograd and Hernán Goldfrid, among others.
In advertising, he has edited more than 100 commercials designed by many of the most valuable local and international agencies such as Wieden + Kennedy, McCann, The community, Saatchi UK, Gallegos United and for world-renowned brands such as Coca Cola, Nike, Ford, HSBC, Toyota, Spotify, Verizon, Comcast, Budweiser, Benetton, among others.
